I will fight for what appears to be the opposite of what you suggest, Colin. I am fighting for borders. I am fighting for the control of people who do not share our freedom. I am fighting for the right to protect my space, protect the country I grew up in and to protect the right of free, non-violent speech. I am fighting for the right to disagree with you knowing that you won't be harassing or jailing me.

I am fighting for the right to fight for freedom without being cancelled and deleted by Linkedin and Medium, Fakebook and the old Twitter, (having my business opportunities denied by my enemies)

I want all business owners to do the same because all they're doing at the moment is destroying freedom for their children and/or grandchildren. I ask all business owners the same question: What are you going to give up?

Hey Ernie. No, I don't think we are fighting for opposite things. In my head, I am thinking of our corrupt governments and what they get away with. The countless versions of the post office scandal type events. The endless corruption, lies and deceit of the people.

What you are fighting for, from what I can tell are all the measures in place to ensure that the system is not rocked or threatened. If you speak against them, they delete you or imprision you. They take away your freedom.

And yes, all our actions today will affect our children and grandchildren. But still, we don't change. Still we stand by and watch the world implode around us.

Our disasterous political system and fake voting around the whole world. What can we do to fix a broken system?

We sacrifice. Colin. We do what our parents, grandparents and ancestors did. We give up the easy life and we make our voice heard. We accept that we are going to be cancelled, harrassed and sometimes imprisoned. We do what they did and give up our family lives. We back the so-called *far right parties already fighting for oppossing elections.

I don't think enough of us do though. If they did then we wouldn't be in the position we are in today. I think most just go along with whatever is going on and complain about it amongst themselves. How do you back other parties in the elections are rigged in the first place?

"what is it that you need to fight for?"<--- I have learned in the previous platform, that one has to become famous or influential enough to move people. When we are not well known, nobody will listen to us. Look at those celebrities or influencers, their influence is powerful.

Though reality is very practical n cruel at the same time. Yet, I still choose to fight for helping one at a time. I know it is very slow n in small scale, but it brings the same joy no doubt! What if I have the chance to help someone who turns out to be the savior of humankind in the future? Who knows!

Ooooo... this is very powerful Janet - "What if I have the chance to help someone who turns out to be the savior of humankind in the future?"

Also, as writers, we have the power to influence any who read our posts, blogs, books etc. Historically, authors have always been influential. They can bring about change and they can educate. Many authors, all writing a similar thing, all together, can be the voice of change. More powerful together.
