In the beginning of time, millions of years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. There were just wild forests, erupting volcanos, massive killer bugs and of course dangerous dinosaurs.
The earth was teaming with life. Giant fish and land animals. Giant birds. Ancient creatures, long since gone.
However, there still remain a few prehistoric creatures from this time. A smaller version of them like crocodiles, monitor lizards, rhinos and elephants.
They have evolved to suit their new environment. They have evolved to adapt in a world where they are not always the apex predator.
And yet, they still survive and thrive in a very different world compared to where they came from. A much harsher world. A much more dangerous world.
Seemingly less dangerous in their new world until they came across man. A small, relatively weak creature with a thirst to conquer all other species.
To hunt and destroy. To take land away from every other creature to settle on it. Create their farms and house their life stock. To take over by their sheer numbers and determination and brain power.
Many animals and birds have spent thousands of years migrating across the world as did humans when they first came into existence.
When it becomes too cold, they all migrate to warmer climates and vice versa. But then things changed.
Man built themselves shelters that could withstand different weather and so they didn't need to migrate anymore. Many had perished on these dangerous journeys through wild country.
And so, when they no longer needed to make these journeys, then life became easier. Man started to thrive and multiple even more.
Even today, in the Italian mountains, famers move up and down the mountain based on the weather. They are at the top in the summer and the bottom in the winter.
This still happens in many others parts of the world today. The point being that migration is natural. It is a natural way of being for humans.
So the question is, how can we bring back migration into our lives. This is very healthy for us.
We migrated to get more sunlight when it is cold where we lived and when it is too hot, we moved to cooler climates.
Instead we try to defy nature by inventing clothing and housing so that we can remain in one place all the time. We force change and then we complain about the weather.
The truth is it is what we have created in our lives. We have created something that we don't really like.
So the next question is, what else are we creating in our lives and in our society that we don't love.
What are we not pushing back against. What world are we creating for ourselves that will not serve us or our future generations.
We cannot be silent when there is change happening for the worse and then complain about it afterwards. The time to complain is when it is happening right in front of us.
The time to take action is when it is happening right in front of us. Not wait for whatever is changing to grow in strength and popularity and then it is too late.
Be aware and mindful of what is going on in the world that you can control or influence. Do not waste time on what you cannot change.
Do not waste energy on things outside your control and influence. But, when you can then stand up and be counted. Be a warrior.
Do not settle to be led by the weak and the corrupt. Fight for honesty, truth, integrity and transparency in the world.
It will be a long fight but it will only get worse if you do nothing. Your world will crumble before your very eyes.
Shout until you are heard but remember to act with integrity yourself otherwise they will turn on you just as quickly.
Fight for a world you would love to live in. Fight for nature and her raw beauty to remain and grow stronger once more.
Find solutions where everyone wins, especially nature. The further you move away from the natural order, universal law, the harder life will eventually become for everyone.
You cannot swim upstream forever for you will tire and drown. Natural flow is a key component of life on earth.
My final question to you, what is it that you need to fight for.
I will fight for what appears to be the opposite of what you suggest, Colin. I am fighting for borders. I am fighting for the control of people who do not share our freedom. I am fighting for the right to protect my space, protect the country I grew up in and to protect the right of free, non-violent speech. I am fighting for the right to disagree with you knowing that you won't be harassing or jailing me.
I am fighting for the right to fight for freedom without being cancelled and deleted by Linkedin and Medium, Fakebook and the old Twitter, (having my business opportunities denied by my enemies)
I want all business owners to do the same because all they're doing at the moment is destroying freedom for their children and/or grandchildren. I ask all business owners the same question: What are you going to give up?
"what is it that you need to fight for?"<--- I have learned in the previous platform, that one has to become famous or influential enough to move people. When we are not well known, nobody will listen to us. Look at those celebrities or influencers, their influence is powerful.
Though reality is very practical n cruel at the same time. Yet, I still choose to fight for helping one at a time. I know it is very slow n in small scale, but it brings the same joy no doubt! What if I have the chance to help someone who turns out to be the savior of humankind in the future? Who knows!
