Beyond the Physical: An Ancient Love Story of Spiritual Connection

A few thousand years ago, there was a young girl that lived in a small village in the foothills in what is known today as Scotland. She was very pretty and all the boys loved her.

They would bring her trinkets and gifts and wolf skins. She loved the attention but she wanted something a lot more. A lot deeper. One of the boys she noticed, never brought her anything.

She could tell that he liked her but he would never say anything or bring her anything. This intrigued her. She wondered if he was just shy or even scared of her.

Some of the other boys where big and strong and very handsome but still, this boy seemed to hold her attention more than the others. Despite the fact he wasn't putting in any attempt to woo her. Finally, one day she went over to him.

He gave her the loveliest, heart warming smile she had ever seen. It felt like it melted her heart in an instant. She could tell he was a kind soul. She asked him why he didn't bring her things like the other boys.

He smiled again and said he had something much better than gifts and trinkets. He had wisdom and a big heart. He may not be the best looking or the strongest boy but his powerful heart would allow him to see things with a different perspective.

He could see through all the boys fluffing themselves up for her and bringing her gifts. All they were interested in was the thrill of the chase and then to boast about the conquest afterwards.

They were not interested in her and her soul. They just saw her as a challenge to be conquered. If they managed to seduce her and take her to bed, all their friends would pat them on the back and be jealous and in awe.

If that is what the girl wanted then that was fine but this boy wasn't interested in that. He wasn't interested in a simply physical act of love. He too was looking for something a lot deeper.

He wanted a deeper connection with someone. He was interested in their heart rather than their pretty face. He wanted to explore the world with someone. Both physically and spiritually.

He wanted to see what they could discover together. He wanted to be able to fully trust someone and love them unconditionally. He embraced being different rather than following the crowd.

Rather than believing what everyone else believed. Rather than just doing whatever else was doing. He wanted a partner and a lover that would follow him to the ends of the earth.

Where they would find gold, enlightenment or a horrible death. But it was all about the journey. He was looking for an adventure buddy. He didn't just want to get drunk and have sex and repeat this.

He was seeking a high vibrational life. A life where he would seek what his genius was. Why he was put on this earth. What his true gifts and talents where that he could offer the world.

Above all else, he wanted to leave this world in a better place than it was today. He wanted to help others to suffer less. He wanted to help others discover and follow their hearts.

He wanted to show others what they were missing out on. He wanted to help others find their true purpose in this world. And he wanted deeper connections with others.

Friends who always had his back and he had theirs. Friends that would always look after his family if anything happened to him and vice versa. He wanted to explore the universe and see what was possible.

He wanted to be creative in everything. The beautiful girl sat in awe listening to him. Her heart falling in love with this being in front of her. Imagining what an exciting and adventurous life she could have.

Imagining being safe and always feeling loved and cared for. She didn't want to be some boy's trophy wife. She didn't want to be his pretty thing on his arm while everyone adored him and only saw her as nothing more than a beautiful face.

She wanted an equal partner. She wanted it all. She wanted everything this quiet boy in front of her had said. She was sold, hook line and sinker.

Tears welled up in her eyes and she couldn't help herself leaning over and hugging him tightly. "Do you promise we can have all that?", she whispered in his ear.

"I can promise that we will never stop trying", he replied softly. She squeezed him tightly again and then sat back and wiped her tears away.

The other boys where watching this interaction with interest. They couldn't work out what was going on. Why was this beautiful girl who they gave all their attention to speaking to this average looking boy who never gave her anything.

How dare she. Didn't she understand the rules of the game. She had to pick one of them. She owed them. They were angry and frustrated. What did he have that they didn't. but they would never know because they would never bother to find out.

They felt defeated. They would simply hurl insults at her next time they saw her. She was out of their circle now. She wasn't that pretty anyway.

They all sunk into their low vibrational state of being and became victims of their circumstances. They would never know what was truly available to them in this universe because they feared the unknown.

And they weren't willing to put the effort in. Meanwhile the relationship between the beautiful girl and this average looking boy blossomed quickly. He never told any of his friends what they did together.

But they soon became lovers and explorers together. They sought abundance in many different forms, least of all money. And before long, once they where married, they left the small village and headed off on their adventures together.
