As you live in a seemingly chaotic world. Worried and stressed about what lies around the next corner. What disaster you will awaken to every day, ask yourself one question.
Do you think everyone is struggling like you. Do you think everyone is battling with life. Or do you think there are some people who are unaffected but what is going on in the world.
With what Trump is saying or doing. With what governments in other countries are doing or saying. The truth is that there are many people creating a life they love regardless of what is going on.
You see, their focus creates their reality. They do not watch the news and so they are not worrying about what other people are doing. They are simply focused on what they love.
They know that most of the media is not only fake but actually just propaganda. They know that the best way to manage a population of people is to put them in a state of fear.
For when people are in fear, they will do anything you tell them. You just have to give them a glimmer of hope if they do what you tell them.
And lo and behold, they do. They fall for it. Year after year. Decade after decade. For 50 years, for 100 years, for thousands of years. It is always the same with humanity. Make people fearful so they will follow you.
God?
It is how many churches function and operate. They put the fear of God into you. Do what you are told, otherwise God will punish you.
This, I can tell you, is not the real God. This is man using God's name as a weapon. A weapon to control the masses. It is time to wake up and take responsibility for your life.
It is time to understand that you are responsible for the life you create for yourself. Everything that has happened to you until now and everything that will happen to you in your future is down to you.
(This can be a difficult concept to grasp but, when you get it, it will change your life as it did mine. Read it a few more times)
There is no one else to blame. There is no one to wait for. We cannot blame the algorithm of Substack when we are not putting in the work that is required to make it successful.
We cannot complain that we didn't get that job we wanted when we didn't give ourselves the best chance of getting it.
Did we make sure we had the right qualifications.
Did we have the right energy when we went into the interview?
Did we do our homework about the company before the interview.
Did we have good, intelligent questions to ask.
When we take full responsibility for every little thing that happens to us in our life. We start to understand that if we act differently, we shall have different outcomes.
Is your goal is to have paid subscribers on Substack?
So what value are we offering. What real world, actionable value are we offering others. What can we offer that others can't afford to be without.
When we do research and homework on what this is and then take the required action. Things will change. Until then, we sit there and complain and feel like a victim.
When in a victim mindset, everything happens to us. We have no control. We're just hanging on for the ride. And yet, every single one of us has the ability to take control. In some form, in some way.
We all have a genius within us. We can all add value to this world. We all have the ability to change our energy. To send out unconditional love into the world we live in.
We are either a creator of our life or we are a victim of it. I spent over 43 years as a victim until I learnt this. Life is tough, they told us. Life is unfair.
But it is only those things if we let it. If we relinquish control of our life. If we take care of our health, do we need some new vaccine that may or may not affect us negatively.
But are you really taking care of your health. Are you doing everything you can. Exercising regularly, eating good food, getting good sleep, looking after your energy and stress levels. Taking vitamins.
Or are you kidding yourself that you think you are healthy when in reality, you are not. Face the truth in your life. Ask yourself the hard questions.
Waiting For The Perfect Time?
Who do I need to be in order to be the best version of myself.
What do I need to do.
What am I not doing.
Am I taking action towards creating a life I would love.
Am I just waiting for the perfect time. Waiting until I have more money. Waiting for the perfect job to come along.
I will do it tomorrow.
I can promise you, from my many years of experience. Tomorrow never comes. It is down to you to take action. Write that book. Learn how to publish it. Find a friend or loved one to edit it.
Things are never as hard to do as you think they are. Things are never as expensive to do as you think they are. There is always a solution.
Time is the one thing you only have a finite amount of. Once it is gone, it is gone.
We can't change the past. Don't waste time worrying about things that may never happen or things you did or happened to you in the past.
Don't get brainwashed by the media. One of the single best things you can do for your mental health is stop watching the news and adverts. Don't get sucked into drama.
Take control of your life and your focus.
Your focus creates your reality.
What are you focused on right now?
Don't focus on things you cannot change.
Take the time to imagine a life you would love. How that looks to you. What you would love to do every day. And take action.
Distractions like TV, news channels, alcohol and drugs are all dream killers. Don’t let them stop you taking action.
Precisely, and on point Colin!!Many will not agree with me, but for to find God I stayed away from churches and religions and focused instead on the Bible and other books I believe to be holy.
I really appreciate how you said that weaponizing religion is not the same as forming a real relationship with a loving God. Colin, that was so refreshing to read! Also about how you said that not everyone is immersed in the fear-mongering, but that some of us are choosing to focus on what we love. YES! What if we all tried to do this? What if each one of us, bit by bit, chose to invest our time and energy into being kind to each other? Or maybe begin by becoming more self-aware, so that we aren't constantly enraged by every little thing that irritates us. Such good points.
