Being grateful for everything you have in your life. Changing your perspective to be grateful for being able to do the things you do.
You get to go to work and earn money.
You get to drive to work and experience what you experience every day.
You get to see people.
Whatever it is that you do in your life. Be grateful that you are able to do it. Because one day, you may not be able to and then you will miss it.
Then you will realise that you wish you were grateful because now it is gone. Your thought it was a chore and hard work but now you wish you could have it back.
Always be grateful for what you have. Your house, family, friends. Whatever it is. It is different for everyone.
When you can notice and be grateful for the little things in your life. You will get more of what you love and appreciate in your life.
The little things like seeing a spider run across the carpet. You're providing her a home and a safe space. She appreciate you. She appreciates not getting squashed. You can appreciate her life and her energy.
The fact that she gets rid of annoying insects in your house. You don't even notice them because she does such a good job. You are contributing to the circle of life in the universe by one small act.
You have every reason to be grateful. And if you don't, imagine your life without all the little things that you take for granted. Imagine losing everything and how you would feel.
Now, can you allow yourself to be more grateful. The spider is grateful. Every time she finds a meal. Every time she scurries past you without you noticing. Every time she escapes the cat or dog from putting their giant paw on top of her.
She is grateful for life. The opportunity to exist. The opportunity to find a mate and produce young to continue her species. Grateful for having been chosen to carry out this vital task.
This small task that means so much to the entire planet and the universe. She never feels sorry for herself. She doesn't feel hard done by. No, she lives by being grateful for what she has and the opportunity to live her life's purpose.
We need to be the same. To be grateful for being alive and experiencing what the world has to offer. Be grateful for experiencing emotions. Joy and sadness and even anger.
Because that means we are living. Just like the little spider. Embrace the energy and strength and resilience of the little spider. Who is grateful for every moment in her short life.
Be more like her. Remember her when you feel sad or want to give up. Remember the power of gratitude.
