Never forget that deep inside you, you are a warrior. You have survived countless battles over many thousands of life times.
You have been killed and yet you have insisted on being reborn to try again. You have faced adversity beyond all comprehension in your past. And yet, you survived. And you came back for more.
You roamed the earth when the was nothing but forests, oceans and wild dangerous beasts. You roamed the earth when you were not at the top of the food chain.
When every day was a fight for survival. You had to hunt and scavenge for food or you starved for a few days. You had to search far and wide for clean water.
You sat in your cave for days while torrential rain poured outside. Lightning struck trees all around you. You had to flee for your life when a volcano erupted and deadly hot larva chased you down the mountain.
You had to dodge the flying rocks while trying to run on shaking ground. You sat in your cave for days while the sun refused to come out. But you knew, deep down, it will return.
You witnessed human sacrifice on a mass scale. Men living in fear and cutting out their victims hearts. Perhaps you were a victim of human sacrifice yourself.
And yet, you still requested to be reborn and come back again. Knowing that the human experience was unlike any other. It was real and truthful.
It was exciting and dangerous. It wasn't safe and that made it even more interesting.
There was a chance of death in every battle and every hunt. Every child birth. Every skirmish. Every giant storm.
There was the constant threat of disease. Your body wracked in pain. Sweating and trembling as your family and friends watched you helplessly as you slipped away.
And yet still, you insisted on being reborn and trying once more. It was a challenge to get old. To teach others about your journey and the lessons you had learnt.
To connect to the great spirits and seek answers to living a better life. You sought an easier life and yet, deep down you sought to overcome whatever was thrown at you and come out the other side.
You anguished over the loss of loved ones. You faced total despair as your city was overrun by the enemy. Seeing your dwelling and all your possessions go up in flames.
You saw your loved ones brutally attacked and their limbs torn from their body by man or beast. You fell to the ground in pain but you did not stay long.
You knew, deep down that only resilience would keep you alive to fight another day. You knew this was life. This was the journey.
And when you lost the fight and became what you feared most. You still insisted on reborn and trying again.
Like an endless computer game. But real, brutal and yet loving and exciting all at the same time.
You see, this pain and hopelessness you may feel today, is just a fleeting moment. Always know that you have faced much worse. You have witnessed much worse and you never gave up.
You always came back for more. Countless lifetimes. Countless, deep and hidden memories of your past lives.
But all building a resilience and an understanding that every day is worth fighting for, regardless of the outcome.
And knowing that regardless of what happens, be that good or evil. You will prevail and insist on returning to try again.
Right now, in this moment, know that you have been here many times before. Know that in your past, you never gave up. You never quit.
You did whatever you needed to do. You embraced your heart and your strength and you kept going. Proof that you are alive and reading this right now.
Know that deep within you, lies a strength and love and resilience that is immeasurable. You are powerful and angelic. You are unbreakable.
And whatever happens to you in this lifetime, you will insist on coming back.
Ooh reading that felt like a pep talk, Colin. Empowering! :)
A powerful message. Very poetic. I'm glad I could play a part in its inspiration, mate. :)
