Emotions are the key to everything. They push us forward and hold us back. Our reaction to our emotions as a child create belief systems that control us for the rest of our lives.
Even when we create the awareness around them, we are still effected by them. Most of all, our emotions that live inside us, trapped for decades, causing illness and pain.
They cause an unhealthy relationship with money and indeed to have unhealthy relationships. Everything, always comes back to our emotions.
These are born of our thoughts and feelings which are not true but made up. We make an incident that happens to us in our lifetime to mean something that most of the time it doesn't.
A bit like a treasured plate dropping off the table and smashing into a thousand pieces. It cannot be mended and we cannot go back in time to fix it.
And yet, we mourn the loss of our beautiful plate that is now destroyed. We anguish over our own clumsiness.
We create a story that we do not deserve to have nice things because we will just break them. Others make us feel worthless, firstly because we let them and secondly because we actually believe it ourselves.
Over one incident. Or perhaps a few similar incidents, we formulate a belief that we are unworthy, we are careless and we don't deserve nice things in our life.
And so we reject these things, subconsciously in our future. We remain in struggle. In Ying and Yang because we want nice things in our life but our belief systems will not allow it.
And so, when we start to become successful and we start to get nice things, we subconsciously sabotage it. We take two steps forward and one backwards throughout our whole life.
Never really moving forward. Never really reaching our full potential. And the incredible sad part is that we shall spend our whole life doing this, completely unaware of the pattern playing out and then before we know it.
Life is over and we only lived a fraction of what was available to us. We only lived a fraction of our true potential. And yet, we watch others have huge success.
We envy them, we even hate them and yet, the reality is, our true potential way supersedes the very people we find ourselves envious of.
All because of the trapped emotions we carry around with us. The sooner we can start to do the work around letting go.
The sooner we can do the work where we become aware of these trapped emotions holding us back. The sooner we can begin our true journey in life.
It is like driving a Lamborghini on a dirt road the whole time. Full of ruts and potholes. A huge, beautiful, race horse of a car, that bumbles along. Operating at 2% of its full capability.
Never getting above 10 miles an hour and yet, designed to fly like the wind at 300 miles an hour. Now imagine this is you.
You are this beautiful, strong, fast racehorse of a car. You are sleek, efficient. You are a champion. You have the capacity to be the president of your country.
You have the capacity to lead mankind. You have the potential to create limitless wealth and abundance for yourself and your family.
And yet, you amble along this dirt track, dodging potholes while you look over, enviously at the smooth tarmac of a deserted 8 line highway over to your left.
It seems so far away and untouchable. But if you could just get there, your potential would explode. There is a whole different life experience awaiting for you.
There is a whole different world, just waiting for you to shed all your beliefs. To change your path onto that smooth highway and open up your engines.
Everything you tell yourself, all the negative self-talk, all the limitations. All the things you tell yourself you can't do. It's all bs. It's all a story.
It's just a made up story to keep you on that small dirt track. But for every single one of us, that highway awaits. For every single one of us, we have limitless potential.
We have power, strength and resilience built into us. We have speed. We have a heart and we have unconditional love as our fuel source.
But fear wins. We are fearful of what if. And so we distract ourselves with anything we can. Phones, TV, drinks, drugs. Whatever it takes to keep us away from that highway.
That true path to success and abundance of many different forms. We put our head in the sand rather than looking in the mirror and truly seeing a sleek, beautiful, Lamborghini.
Just waiting patiently for that throttle to be opened up. Waiting for the decision to allow ourselves to reach for our true potential.
To truly follow our heart and do what we have always wanted to love doing. To follow our dreams. To truly believe that we have the ability to achieve our dreams and our potential.
To live that lifestyle we keep dreaming about but keep denying ourselves. Stop denying what you are. Release your trapped emotions.
Understand that your belief systems are made up stories. Recognise when you're holding yourself back. Recognise fear for what it is. A speed limiter.
Instead, put your foot down and head for that highway. Follow your nudges, your dreams and take the action.
Nothing happens without you putting your foot down, nothing happens without you taking the action.
The ball is in your court now. It's up to you. Which road do you want to drive yourself on.
Thanks so much for the restack @sincreflectoften :-)
