Around about 3000 years ago, there was a wise man than lived in a small town in Portugal. It was on the coast and the man would spend many hours during the day simply watching the sea.
Marveling at the ebb and flow of the waves. Watching the wind blow rain across the water and see the huge rain storms hit the town below him. He would watch everyone run for cover least they get soaked by the cold rain.
Once, he saw a little boy get soaked to the bone. As he watched, the little boy just stood in the rain, looking up at the sky. Almost with fascination at what was happening.
Seemingly to wonder where the rain was coming from. After standing there for almost 2 whole minutes, the boy's mother suddenly appeared and snatched him up and carted him inside their small house.
The streets were deserted as the man watched on, wondering why there was so much fear about the rain. Sure, it was wet and a little cold but it wasn't the end of the world.
He pondered this as he headed back to his hut in a small forest on the hill. He felt joy and relief when it rained. He felt that it was his God giving them the gift of life by giving them fresh water from the skies.
To give life to their crops and livestock. It was a moment to rejoice, not dash inside. His concern was that with a mindset of fear, the town folk would create other fears.
It was never good to fear anything but to trust in one's intuition and spirit guides that they will keep you safe. When you feared something, it would lower your internal vibration.
It would cause worry and anxiety. Most of all, it would create negative energy. None of this was useful and it didn't serve the people of the town.
He decided that he would need to teach everyone about being more present and seeing the good in everything rather than the bad. He knew, that if taught them this lesson that they would change their mindset.
Well, someone of them would, anyway. But with this change of mindset, they would see rain in a different way. They would see the life it gives to everything it lands on.
They would see that without rain, many of things that we vital in their life would dry up and die. They would have no food and if things got desperate then they may need to move somewhere else where there was a fresh water lake or spring.
It would be a huge undertaking to move. But the simple answer was to rejoice when it rained for it brought them so many good things in their life.
They would also be grateful for many others things in their life. They would practice gratitude for what they had in their life. Their town itself, their friends and family.
The beautiful view of the ocean. Their crops that gave them food. Their livestock that gave them milk, eggs and meat. Their health and their wise man that gave them advice and guidance.
It would take them long to look around them and see how many things they should be grateful for. He reminded them that things could always be worse in so many ways. When they practised gratitude for what they had.
When they showed the universe and their God how much they appreciated what they had, then they would get more of it. It was how the universe worked. You get more of what you are focused on.
The universe doesn't care if it is good or bad. It will simply give you more of what it perceives you crave. So be careful what you focus on. Be careful about complaining too much.
Be careful about not being grateful for what you have because one day, it may all be gone in a flash.
The towns people who had gathered round to listen to the wise man, saw the deep wisdom in everything he said. They instantly felt gratitude for the man and his wisdom.
They knew they would feel lost without it. They vowed to practice gratitude every day moving forwards. For they knew it would improve their lives. They also understood that maintaining themselves in a high vibration and frequency was very important.
It was positive, uplifting and energising. They found that they smiled and laughed more often. Less things went wrong in their life.
They also became more present and noticed the beauty that was right in front of them. It all began with being more grateful and not living in fear.
It would really make my day if you could like and share my writing to spread some positivity to as many people as possible. Thank you!
This is my latest book on Amazon called Billion Dollar Hack. It’s an exciting thriller.
ahhh so incredible. I get this so much. I celebrate the rain and go out to dance in it. It really is life. Those old hermits on the mountain, just watching and observing... they saw some stuff :)
Enjoyed the read!
