By the light of the sun and the light of the moon, old souls and new, aren’t we all light workers in training? Being a light worker means honoring the shadow and the dark too. Being a light worker is being someone who champions a full spectrum experience of bright to dark, and showing the ways to be in everything with integrity. Being a light worker means championing a place of simplicity, ease, and joy, without contradictions from greed and powering over deception. Being a light worker means respecting equally the shadows and the darkness, without shining your light to reveal things people with consent are doing for their pleasure and self challenge, to ruin the experience and the feelings one can get playing in these realms, with the assurance and safe guards that people are giving consent to the experiences, and the risk of adverse consequences. Being a light worker means always keeping the dark close, as close as closing your eyes. This means respecting our own and others darkness and protecting our ability and agency to venture into the dark spaces. This also means playing in the light with each other and children especially, sharing stories and role play about what these spaces and energies mean. Likewise, being a light worker means being a protector of self and others in shadow and dark spaces; shining light in the dark if people are pulled into these spaces without adequate understanding, knowledge and consent. Likewise, experts of the dark arts, when entering the light, are invited to hold their truth with confidence and any harms done in the dark shall be processed in the light through work with emotions and non-violent communication, whether alone or in groups. The light is a fabulous place to unpack old trauma with open hearted truth being people.

I feel that darkness and sometimes I'm between both worlds but I keep reaching for the light.

My journal looks like a lament on some days lol. There is so much darkness and it's best to acknowledge it and heal. Thank you for this 🖤✨
