Fighting a Giant Spider With Some ET Warriors.

I sit with my spirit brother Thanuk and we raise our vibration as high as we can. It keeps rising and makes us almost breathless. It has to be high in order for us to not only see but also communicate with my ET friends.

They are picking me up in their spacecraft today. You remember the one with the very comfortable seats that you just melt into. They are needed because the craft travels at such high speed.

We zip off at some unmeasurable speed into space and head for one of their planets. There are three planets all very close to each.

Today we are going on a hunting party to hunt giant spiders. When I say giant, I mean giant. In this world, we are all like small insects.

Today, a bunch of warriors are out to prove themselves as worthy of joining the ranks of the elite. Protecting their queen and being recognised as elite and brave warriors.

We begin our journey to this other planet. The head of the hunting party comes to talk to me. It is beyond important that you are not killed.

You may observe from a distance but if you suddenly disappear from your planet without explanation, it will raise many questions.

If we return your body to earth, half eaten by a giant spider, it will raise even more questions and simply freak  your people out.

He gives me a invisibility cloak. It works by refracting light. He promises it will keep me safe.

We all assemble outside once we have landed in a small clearing. The warriors are larger than the others with bulging muscles. It looks more like sinew than muscle.

They have war paint on. Stripes of black paint over their bodies. They're almost ape like but without fur. Blue green in colour. Intelligent and thoughtful looking. Deep blue eyes that glow brightly.

They're more intelligent than us humans but also more caring and kind and loving.

They pick up their long weapons from a pile on the floor. Like long spears but with a blade than runs down most of the shaft.

They make sure that I start at the back, carrying my cloak to put on at the first sign of danger. These spiders are very aggressive, territorial and always up for a snack. They also just want to be left alone so they are grumpy when disturbed.

Depending on age, they would be about 4 or 5 times the height of us. They rush through the undergrowth when attacking and you have to go for their legs while keeping out of the way of their fangs and teeth.

Ironically, they are very similar to a tarantula that we have on earth. Just about 500 times bigger. Having done their recon, they know that there is a spider that lives up ahead. He is a ferocious male.

We creep forward. I am apprehensive. Not exactly feeling as brave and confident as these warriors who have been trained in the battle to come.

I slip my coat on. Wondering what else is lurking in this thick jungle. Everyone stops for a second. They can sense the spider up ahead. He can sense us.

He picks up the vibration of our walking way before we detect him. We hear a rush of wind and leaves and branches cracking as this huge spiders rushes to meet us.

He doesn't know what we are or why we are there but he will protect his territory regardless. The attack is silent in terms of he make no sound himself.

It is like being in a big spider movie. Being so large, it almost doesn't look like a spider but just some large creature. Hairy, powerful and numerous eyes taking in the warriors before him.

He makes a beeline for me, despite my invisibility cloak. I'm thinking WTF. Running is pointless. Hiding behind a tree my only option.

The warriors take advantage of the distracted spider that’s heading for me. It must have detected my smell or something else odd about my presence.

The warriors attack its legs. You'd think that one slice with one of the blades would chop the leg in two but it doesn't. the legs are strong and made of bone and muscle.

Their blades thud against its legs but they draw blood and other liquid that runs down its legs. The warriors are relentless and the spider is trying to pick a single target but they all move about rapidly.

Almost like a dance as they race around to confuse the giant spider and not remain still long enough to be attacked and killed by its large fangs.

Suddenly, the spider stops for a second, it turns to its left and then, bleeding and damaged it flees. The warriors are about to give chase when they also stop.

I wonder what on earth is going on but then I hear a thunderous crashing coming towards us. Something large is heading our way. The warriors move quickly to where I am hiding, peering from around my tree.

Hiding underneath my seemingly pointless cloak. I get the feeling I have been tricked. I'm not invisible at all. But then I realise that sight is not the primary sense of ET's and the other creatures in this world.

I ask what the noise is but they motion me to be quiet and still. A huge rhinoceros type creature comes rushing through the undergrowth like a steam train. Grunting and frothing at the mouth.

He has small piggy eyes and like his earth cousins, it is clear that he can't see very well either. He is even bigger than the spider. Solid like a small mountain.

You would need rockets if you wanted to take this thing down. The creature skids to a halt. He looks around but everyone is still and silent and he won't see us.

However, he hears the spider running away in the other direction and so he turns and lumbers after it.

The ETs are full of their own version of adrenaline and they pat earth other on the back. It had been a very exciting hunt even if they had not managed to kill their prey.

They laugh and head back to their space craft, one of them has their arm around me, talking excitedly about the giant creature that rushed in and scared them all.

He said that it was very rare to see one of them. Everyone had shown themselves to be brave in this battle and a few would be promoted after a debrief.

They fly me back and we part ways. Hoping to meet me again for another hunt and adventure soon. I'm escorted back to earth with Thanuk and we hug each other good bye and promise to see each other tomorrow.
