Beyond Imagination: A Journey Through Space and Time

You  take your seat in your comfortable spacecraft. You know, the seat that molds to your whole body. You melt into it.

It is literally the most comfortable seat you can ever imagine. You lie there, staring up at the roof and then you become aware that despite not actually feeling anything, you are flying through space at light speed.

In a split second the earth is just a dot behind you. The moon is too small to see. You go whizzing past planets, Jupiter and Uranus at unbelievable speeds.

It is like you are watching them on tv in fast forward. Your ET friend points out the window at a small dot. He telepathically tells you it is Pluto.

Then it is gone and you continue to whizz deep into space and into the unknown universe. You see a bright light up ahead. It is a galaxy, wonderful, beautiful, incredible display of different colours and lights.

As you get closer, it gets bigger and bigger and it changes shape. The colours disappear and you just see brilliant light from its various bright suns.

You stare in wonder at what is going on around you. Suddenly another spaceship flicks past like a blur. You see more spaceships. You only see them for a second before they're gone.

Now there are new planets you have obviously never seen before. They seem dark and barren like the planets in our own solar system.

There is a bright yellow one. It literally looks like the entire planet is made out of pure gold. It glows magically with it's one half facing it's sun. the other side, although dark, it still glimmering gold.

You're transfixed as you stare at it. You hear a voice in your head from your ET friend, "beautiful isn't it".

You smile and nod without looking at him. You see two planets ahead, close to one another. They look like two earths. They are blue and green. Basically just forests and water.

They are much bigger than earth, almost 3 times the size. We zoom straight towards the one on the left. Your ET friends tells you to never go to the one on the right.

It is very dangerous. Very dangerous creatures that fly and are very fast. They will trap you and if you are unlucky, you will wake up in their lair.

If you are lucky then you will die in your sleep. You shudder as your imagination runs wild.

Suddenly, you are in a forest. Huge trees on either side of the spacecraft. Massive leaves and huge birds that look like dragons flying about.

You see a building coming up. Large and white. Big windows and you can see beings walking about. The spacecraft docks silently. Everything is suddenly light.

It's like the space craft disappeared apart from your seat. You stand up and feel a bit wobbly. Your ET friend grabs your arms so that you don't fall over.

You can see his heart glowing in his chest like a beacon. Warm and red, similar to your own. You can tell he is smiling but it doesn't show on his face. His big black eyes looking at you reassuringly.

You take another step forward and feel better now. He guides you into what looks like an airport terminal. A few other beings look at you and point.

They actually wave at you, like you're their long lost friend. Their heart's brightness increases. You feel love from them. You feel safe and comfortable.

The beings are all different shapes and sizes. Different species. All seem friendly and welcoming. Your friend points you to a seat. He tells you that he will be back in a second.

True to his word, he reappears with an object in his hand which he passes to you. He indicates you should drink from it. The liquid is cool and refreshing.

Your whole body seems to light up and feel light and strong. You bizarrely feel bigger and more confident.

He indicates you should follow him and he climbs into what can only be described as a floating golf cart. The second your bum hits the seat you are off.

It is so odd because you never feel like you are actually moving. Although it accelerates quickly, it doesn't throw you back in the seat like a car would.

It is like you are sat still and everything else is moving rapidly past you. You seem to travel pretty far but it still takes very little time due to the immense speed.

You follow him once more. You walk through some doors and into a room, where there appears to be a lot of young beings stood up and watching a large screen.

You can't actually see anything on the screen but they seem to be fully engaged with it. As you walk in, they all turn and look at you. They all seem to instantly brighten up and are warm and welcoming.

Their little hearts glowing with excitement and love. You are guided to the front and you start hearing different questions in your head. Your friend stops all of them by putting his hand in the air.

He turns to you and asks you to tell everyone about where you come from. Tell them about earth and life there. They all sit down and listen to you intently. No one makes a sound.

You describe the oceans and whales and dolphins. You tell them about London and Paris. You tell them about football and golf. They laugh and clap their hands at your stories.

This encourages you to keep talking. Not sure what was in that drink, you think to yourself but I feel full of energy.

After a few hours, you begin to tire. Your friend tells you it is time to go. Everyone waves warmly at you and before you know it, you're back at your spacecraft, settling into your seat.

Your friend says thank you and touches his forehead against yours. You feel love and friendship and gratitude and warmth. You smile and lie back and instantly fall asleep.

You wake up, in your own bed the next morning. You wonder if it was a dream but it couldn't have been, it was too real.

Groggy with sleep, you turn on the news and there is a story about flashing lights that loads of people saw in the night. You smile to yourself, that was no dream.
